Main Street Daily Grind At A Glance
|
|
The Daily Grind has become a household name in the Shenandoah Valley, and visitors to Front Royal should be sure to stop by “The Grind” on Main Street to find out why.
The walls are painted a rich red with just touch of brown to make the atmosphere relaxing and conducive to The Daily Grind’s logo, which encourages you to “Unwind”. The ceiling is even a coffee-colored deep brown, and somehow the colors combine to soothe your worries away without putting you to sleep. The (free) wireless connection provided even allows you to hold a meeting or get some work done as you relax, a comforting hot drink in hand. “If you’re stressed, we want you to be able to come in, get a coffee or an espresso, and relax,” says Herb Melrath, owner of Main Street Daily Grind since May 2004. “We strive daily to provide the quality and service that people have come to expect. Good customer service, quality product, and a great atmosphere make the whole picture.”
The products feature, of course, the coffee, which is a special roast produced right in nearby Luray, Virginia. The flavors range from medium to dark, with more on the medium side. The Grind owners pride themselves on providing a smooth blend. Specialty drinks, sugar-free varieties and a wide assortment of iced drinks including Italian soda round out the “liquid” menu.
If you want more than just a drink, you’re in luck. Not only does The Daily Grind bake their own scrumptious muffins, croissants, cookies, and scones daily, they also serve breakfast and lunch. In 2007, The Daily Grind added a conference room to accommodate its business customers. The room comfortably seats 8-10 and can be reserved at no charge in 2-hour increments (with the purchase of coffee, of course.) A much needed rear entrance as well as rear parking was added in late 2008.
